TROPO
CONDX OK1AIY/P JO70SQ 23.10 2015
Hi Matej,
I send you brief report about the worked stations on
23rd October 2015. At my portable QTH I don't have any outdoor antennas, all
contacts are done even during contest through "the hole in the roof" as I named
openable roof's windows in 2nd floor of mountain hotel at Bebecko JO70SQ in
about 950m ASL. At the window I use 70 and 23cm 10el yagi antennas which are
lying on the paper box with possible to turn them
+/- about 30°. On other bands I
use dishes which are situated in the room. For 2m I use only simple GP magnetic
antenna with vertical polarization place on the heater's heatsink. I'm not able
to put it outside the roof because of the copper roof hi.
That EA1CGN was 1787,3km far, F6APE 1236,4,
F6APE 1236,3km, EA1HRR 1632.7km, F6DKW 983,2km (it's my
total ODX of the 3cm band), beacon F5ZBS 648km and F1NZC on 2m 1078 with that GP
"magnetic" antenna in the room. This tropo opening was almost like the tropo
situation during end of 60's when I worked DL stations in AM with 6L41 tube PA
5W out and screw driver antenna.
By the way that EA1HRR on 70cm had only 8el yagi and
30W out, I used 45W and 10el yagi, not bad for a distance of 1633km hi.
Pavel, OK1AIY 23.10.
2m contact with F1NZC from JN15MR
on 70cm qso EA1GCN from IN73DN
70cm qso F6APE from IN97QI
70cm qso EA1HRR from IN83JJ
23cm qso F6DKW from JN18CS
3cm qso F6DKW from JN18CS 559/529 (I used 3W in 75cm dish)
on 1296,784 MHz I heard beacon F5ZBS from JN38PJ, report 579 (it has negative keyer).
on 9cm QSO withDB6NT 59/55 JO50TI with BTV HR3A equipment 100mW in FLAT yagi
