Marconi memorial contest 2001

This contest has been prestigious by extraordinary good condition of tropo propagation, especialy in Friday and Saturday. But still at Sunday was posible make DX QSO up to 1000 km distance. Strong thermal inversion was in territory of Czech republic in aprox. 1300 - 1500 m asl high. Unfortunately realy the best conditions were registered across Germany and Poland, where 1500 km DXs from UK to Baltic states and Ukraina were made.

In the contest we successfully used new transverter for FT 1000 MP. And this transceiver due very good performance and a lot of very good filters help us a lot.

We are very pleased with the result, on the top of it, beacuse it was first Marconi memorial contest in which OK2KKW take a part.
