Happy Easter Everybody.
The VK3UM EME Calculator Ver 7.02 (build 2010 .0.7.2) has been further enhanced to
- include Dish Mesh loss in the effective dish gain calculation and display its value.
- change of some TSky values to reflect verifiable values.
- Echo calculations now fully independent of TSky.
- additional Offset feeds for Cassegrain fed dishes.
- user specific operating frequency input.
- XP and Classic Styles will now appear the same.
- the Help file updated to reflect all changes
... and a data file for the Arecibo facility has been included for all to wonder!
(load as Get Data / Combined to see what you can do with a single yagi)
Note .. Learmonth sfu data has not always been available recently due to their 28' dish 'coming off
line' and the data below 1415 MHz may not be available. Use history data should this be found to
be the case, matching the closest sfu for the day of measurement. A single receiver failure will not
reflect a significant change in actual values but is provided as a user warning.
The VK3UM EMR Calculator 6.44 has been recompiled to get rid of a problem
with the circular aperture display option.
Finally regarding the VK3UM Planner 2009
- yes it has Polar mount display option (since 1979)
- yes it has the ability to turn refraction on and off.
- yes by selecting the Puerto Rico KP4 Call and setting min. elevation to 70 degrees
you can determine your window .. no good down here though!
